F. Paul Maloof, Esquire

Paul Maloof joined the Alexandria firm of Redmon, Peyton & Braswell, L.L.P. in 2004 and has been a partner in the firm since he joined. As a partner he leads the firm's Collections, Contracts, and Litigation practices. He also works with other practice groups on other topics and cases when his expertise is required.
He is admitted to the Virginia, District of Columbia, and Maryland Bars and is active in a number of professional associations, such as the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (“NARCA”).
Prior to joining Redmon, Peyton & Braswell, Mr. Maloof practiced law with several Washington DC-area law firms, including 5 years as partner in the firm of Brincefield Hartnett Maloof & Paleos, P.C., and eleven years as a sole proprietor focusing on commercial business and real estate law. In the mid-eighties Mr. Maloof lived and worked in São Paulo, Brazil, representing the Washington, D.C. firm of O'Connor & Hannan. His first assignment as an attorney was as an associate with the DC firm Corcoran, Youngman & Rowe, where he handled general corporate and commercial banking law, and was special assistant to Thomas G. (“Tommy the Cork”) Corcoran. “The Cork” was a brain trust member of the FDR White House, and a great inspiration to Mr. Maloof in his career as a lawyer.
Mr. Maloof entered Georgetown University in September 1971, and graduated from the Business School with an accounting degree in 1975. He went on to Georgetown University Law School and graduated in 1978.
He was born and raised in Boston, MA. In September 1968, at the age of age of 18., he joined the US Marine Corps. After training at Parris Island, SC, Camp Lejeune, NC, and Camp Pendleton, CA, he was shipped to DaNang, Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge on September 10, 1970.
Mr. Maloof has two children and is a very avid tennis player. He has lived in the Northern Virginia area since 1971.
